We offer private lessons for those who are looking for a more personalized approach to their performance education. These sessions are great if you are taking CATA classes and want to polish your performance skills or if you just prefer a one-on-one learning experience.

Private Lesson prices range from $35 - $40 per 30 mins.

What To Expect In Private Lessons

So much of what our student’s learn in their individual lessons prepares them for the stage, the classroom, and beyond. Take a look at our specific areas of study to see if one is right for you.

Voice - Our private voice lessons help students to improve their vocal ability by: establishing a healthy vocal technique, improving breath support, focusing on resonance and amplification, improving posture, working on expression and interpretation of their music, and overcoming nervousness in performance.

Piano - Our private piano lessons equip students with musical tools by: focusing on music theory fundamentals (key signatures, time signatures, names of notes, rhythm, etc.), working toward dexterity and agility, improving posture, and learning various styles of piano repertoire and performance.

Dance - Our private dance lessons focus on enhancing each student’s ability to: move freely, improve balance and flexibility, experience a variety of dance styles, learn what it means to be synchronous with music, and memorize choreography.

Acting - Our private acting lessons focus on a variety of areas including: close reading, interpretation, vocal clarity and articulation, expression, movement/staging, and confidence in their performance.

How to sign up for private lessons at CAT Academy

Are you interested in signing your child up for private lessons at CAT Academy?

Here are the steps to make that happen.

1. Reach out to our Private Lesson Coordinator, Heather Reithmeier.

Please let her know:

1. Your child’s name

2. Your child’s age

3. What your child would like to study (voice, piano, dance, or acting)

4. Your preferred day of the week/time of day for lessons
   

2. Once Heather receives your request she will reach out to our team of private instructors to see if anyone has availability in their studio. From time to time our teachers' studios are at capacity, in which case your child would be added to the waitlist and informed as soon as a spot becomes available.

3. When a lesson time is secured, Heather will let you know which teacher is able to welcome your child into their studio and lessons can begin.

4. Lesson payments are processed on the 1st and 16th of each month. If you do not have a Studio Director account set up with us at CAT you will need to do that. Lesson payments are processed through this account. Directions to set up Studio Director can be found here (insert link).
