Fall Session Class Offerings
Monday
3:30pm - 4:30pm Act/Sing Combo (ages 4-6) with Bri An introductory class for students learning the basics of acting and singing. Students will build skills to speak in front of an audience and learn how to sing as a group. They will learn basic singing techniques to help find pitch and work on acting skills to develop a character. This class is designed for “first timers”.

An introductory level class designed to teach and strengthen core acting skills. This is a great start for the child looking to lay a strong foundation in developing a character, making strong movement choices, and contributing to a final group performance.
5:30pm - 6:30pm Jr Acting (ages 7-9) with Audrey M.
An introductory level class designed to teach core acting skills. This is a great start for the child looking to stretch some new acting muscles and gain confidence in their performance skills
Wednesday
3:30pm - 4:30pm Acting 1 (ages 10-13) with Amber Y.
An introductory level class designed to teach and strengthen core acting skills. This is a great start for the child looking to lay a strong foundation in developing a character, making strong movement choices, and contributing to a final group performance.
3:30pm - 4:30pm Improv (ages 10-13) with Mario A.
This intermediate/advanced class will branch off the fundamentals of improvisational comedy and dive more into the detail of creating scenes and solutions through scene work. They will learn to play in a fun and supportive environment. It will provide students with a strong foundation in improvisation that promotes creativity and personal growth.
4:30pm - 5:30pm Acting 2 (ages 11-14) with Amber Y.
Once your child has acquired some basic acting knowledge, this class is the perfect next step that encourages them to find individual acting style, and we will focus on expanding basic acting skills to show each student how to create a performance that stands out and shines.

6:30pm - 7:30pm Jazz 1 (ages 8-12) with Caroline E.
This beginning jazz class will introduce dancers to the technique and style of jazz dance. It will incorporate body strength, agility, style and flexibility to continue building the fundamentals of jazz dance. Your dancer will gain body coordination, style and power in their dancing. There is a strong emphasis on across the floor and learning choreography.
4:30pm - 5:30pm Contemporary (ages 13-18) with Caroline E.
Contemporary utilizes both the strong and controlled legwork of ballet, modern dance’s stress on the torso, and also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, the improvisation characteristic of modern dance and the power and wow factor of jazz dance. Previous dance is recommended.

5:30pm - 6:30pm Jazz 2 (ages 13-18) with Caroline E.
This intermediate jazz class is perfect for students who have already taken a beginning jazz class. Dancers will improve and refine their technique and abilities through more challenging steps and choreography. Emphasis will be put on improving leaps and turns. By this point dancers should be developing style, strength and power in their dancing.
*Previous Dance Experience Required
6:30pm - 7:30pm Lyrical Jazz (ages 12-18) with Caroline E.
Lyrical dance is an expressive dance style that is built upon embodying lyrics or music through movement and is often paired with downtempo, emotion-filled music. Students will learn how to emote through their dancing by learning various dance combinations and movement exercises that will help them connect to the music they dance to. This class will also focus on acting through dance. This class will begin from an intermediate level.

6:30pm - 7:30pm Jr. Jazz (ages 7-9) with Marisa
This introductory class will be high energy and cover the basics of jazz dance. This class focuses on technique and style through strong and sharp movements. It emphasizes strength and stretch in warm up and practices technique across the floor and choreography center floor.
Tuesday
3:30pm - 4:30pm Tap 1 (ages 8-13) with Caroline E.
This tap class will introduce the basic foundations of tap dance to create strong and fast ankle work and complicated rhythmical patterns. They will be introduced to faster footwork and more challenging musicality in class. Students are now accomplishing more difficult progressions and turn sequences.
4:30pm - 5:30pm Broadway Jazz (ages 12-18) with Caroline E.
An advanced level class for students who will continue to build on their dance skills. They will learn the different styles of Broadway dance and how it translates to stage. Increasing their skill-set in timing and musicality, students will experience several styles of Broadway dance. They will use their movement to highlight the elements of a musical theater piece, while further developing their skills in jazz.

5:30pm - 6:30pm Broadway Jazz (ages 8 -11) with Caroline E.
A beginning class where students will build upon their understanding of jazz dance and learn how the style translates to stage. Increasing their skill-set in timing and musicality, students will experience several styles of Broadway dance. They will use their movement to highlight the elements of a musical theater piece, while further developing their skills in jazz.
5:30pm - 6:30pm Funk Jazz (ages 8 -11) with Sanlyn C.
This Jazz Funk class is a dance style of the body and mind. This class will incorporate styles like lyrical in the sense of emotional interpretation. This class will focus on hit isolations with sheer intensity and movements that are soft then hard then soft again. Jazz Funk tells a story with your body. In this class you will find foundational movements found in Jazz such as: isolations, flexibility syncopation (off beat), pirouettes, leaps, kicks and floor work.

Wednesday
4:30pm - 5:30pm Tap 2 (ages 11-18) with Rebekah
Tap focuses on rhythms and patterns in footwork through proper technique, as well as personal style and producing clear sounds. This class includes a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. As student’s progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.
*Previous Tap Experience Required

4:30pm - 5:30pm Musical Theater 1 (ages 10-13) with Audrey M.
An introductory level class designed to teach the basics of musical theater. This class will focus on the three main aspects of musical theater, acting, singing, and dancing. Class activities will involve theater games, vocal scales, singing and breathing techniques, memorization exercises, dialogue, stage and theatrical terminology, dance styles, focus techniques, audition tips, and general fun and silliness!

4:30pm - 5:30pm Musical Theater 2 (ages 11-15) with Sanlyn C.
This is an intermediate level class for a more in depth look at the three aspects of musical theater. This class will help develop performance skills and help grow the student’s understanding of different musical theater styles. Students in this class will be exposed to more advanced theater games, improvisation, voice and singing techniques, intermediate acting, intermediate dance, and more complicated choreography.
*Previous Musical Theater Experience Encouraged
6:30pm - 7:30pm Musical Theater 1 (ages 9-12) with Reagan C.
An introductory level class designed to teach the basics of musical theater. This class will focus on the three main aspects of musical theater, acting, singing, and dancing. Class activities will involve theater games, vocal scales, singing and breathing techniques, memorization exercises, dialogue, stage and theatrical terminology, dance styles, focus techniques, audition tips, and general fun and silliness!
6:30pm - 7:30pm Musical Theater 3 (ages 13-18) with Sanlyn C.
An advanced level class for those who have adequate experience in musical theater and who have taken a lower level class previously. Students in this class will be exposed to more advanced techniques, voice and singing techniques, advanced acting and complicated choreography. The students will be given tools to further explore the techniques and styles used in musical theater.

In this class, students will be exposed to more extensive vocal techniques. This class will work on strengthening voices through vocal warm-ups, breath support and more complicated melodic lines in musical theater songs as well as soloist work. Audition techniques will also be covered.
4:30pm - 5:30pm Voice 1 (ages 10-13) with Hannah R.
In this class, students will be exposed to more extensive vocal techniques. This class will work on strengthening voices through vocal warm-ups, breath support and more complicated melodic lines in musical theater songs as well as soloist work. Audition techniques will also be covered.

6:30pm - 7:30pm Voice 3 (ages 13-18) with Hannah R.
In this advanced class, students will be learning music theory and will also learn to master blending, vocal dynamics, and vocal expression.
